Dr. Kevin Batterbee is a well-known area physician who will be providing medication management utilizing our state of the art tele-video conferencing suite. The advancements of technology allow private streaming video sessions in the Petoskey location with on-site staff to assist as a contact point for daily needs. Dr. Batterbee’s educational background consists of undergraduate studies from Michigan Tech University, Medical Education - Michigan State University, internship at Ingham Regional Medical Center/Michigan, and residency at Michigan State University – Dept. of Psychiatry. He specializes in adult psychiatry and also treats adolescents 14 + years with the ability to evaluate clients and to determine whether or not symptoms are the result of a medical or mental illness or combination. Dr. Batterbee’s extended schooling period involves comprehensive training in psycho-pharmacology, medical care issues, psychiatric diagnosis, and psychotherapies.

drzAhmad Zubairi, M.D. - Board Certified Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Zubairi is a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist who also has Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He finished his medical school from Dominican Republic. He completed his four year psychiatry residency training at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island New York. He did further training for two more years at the University of Connecticut in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. After completing his training he lived in rural Missouri working for a community hospital. He has been a Michigander since 2006 and has worked in Jackson Michigan and for last two years within the Henry Ford health system. He has over 20+ years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults. His areas of interest are depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD/ADD, anxiety disorders and relationship issues however he has experience treating all psychiatric disorders including schizophrenia, substance abuse and sexual dysfunction. Besides working in many different work settings; he also experienced living from large metropolitan NYC to rural Missouri, giving him a unique perspective and understanding of different sociocultural issues. In the last five years besides providing clinical care; he has been involved in teaching medical students and psychiatry residents. He has held clinical faculty positions at Michigan State University and Wayne State University Medical Schools

Great Lakes TTC, LLC. is excited to announce that Dr. Ikenna Obasi is now accepting patients for early September. He obtained his medical degree at Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria. From there he spent the following 18 months practicing as a psychiatrist in the United Kingdom. His education continuation then moved him to the United States where he enrolled at the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Columbia Univeristy at Harlem Hospital Psychiatry Residency training program in 2012. Since he has become double board certified in General Psychiatry and Addictionology for clients age 18 and older. He has expereince with in facility treatments, out patient - private practice and now offers tele-med Monday through Friday every other week. Along with a long history working with mood disorders, schizophrenia, OCD and bipolar diagnosis. He will, also, provide the area with much needed ADD (Attention Defecit Disorder) / ADHD (Attention Defecit Hyperactivity Disorder) medication management and supportive psychotherpies. ADAnthony DiLoreto, PMHNP-BC

Anthony is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He is joining the practice with a wide variety of experience within the mental health field. He graduated with his bachelors of science in nursing from the University of Detroit Mercy. He then went on to Wayne State University to complete his masters degree of science in nursing with specialization in mental health. Since then, he has had extensive experience in providing inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment, as well as providing home health care services for those with mental illness. He has served as a mental health consultant for oncology services, pain, palliative care, and hospice programs, also providing inpatient mental health education. He is passionate about reducing the stigma associated with mental illness and providing integrative mental health treatment. He is currently enrolled in the doctorate of nursing practice program at the University of Michigan-Flint. He resides in Rochester, Michigan with his wife and labradoodle.

Geraldine "Geri" Dorris is our newest provider who received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University. Her Associates Degree in Applied Science was received from Macomb Community College, Michigan. Living downstate she has practiced at St. John Hospital Corp and the Detroit Medical Center. While speding time in Florida, Geri, worked with several nursing homes, assisted nursing facilities and in her private practice. Having a nursing specialization in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health allows her to offer psychotherapy in combination with prescribing medicines. This includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Supportive Therapy, Educational Therapy and health teachings which assist working with adults who have depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, cognitive impairment and demenita diagnosis. Geri welcomes input from families and support persons involved to help provide total patient care. Hobbies include spending time with her husband and family now relocated back to Northern Michigan, reading, walking, bicycling, being in nature and being an active member of several area orginazations.

A native of Northern Michigan, Mr. Johnson completed his undergraduate studies at Madonna University and graduate studies in social work at Michigan State University, both with highest honors. Derek is 1 out of 10 certified family psycho-education educators for the state of Michigan. He is a consultant and trainer to other providers for evidence based practice. He has over 14 years of experience working directly with clients and their family members coping with situational stressors, substance abuse, crisis intervention and mental illness.

Jennifer Towns is a Masters level Social Worker who completed her undergraduate work at Alma College and received her Master's Degree in Social Work at the University of Michigan. She is currently a social work doctoral student at Walden University. Jennifer has over fifteen years of experience in the mental health field holding a variety of positions and provides professional mental health psychotherapy services for adolescents and adults in the individual, family, and group setting. Her clients have a wide array of issues that may include, but are not limited to, depression, anxiety, life adjustment difficulties, trauma (both current and past), sexual expression and sexual orientation, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, self -injury, eating disorders, and substance abuse. Jennifer's work is founded upon a holistic approach and person centered principles. She practices from a strengths based perspective and believes that all individuals can benefit from professional counseling services that promote personal growth and self-awareness, especially when paired with best practice models centered around the needs of each individual.

Christine Omilion-Sugg, MA, LLPC

Christine Omilion-Sugg, M.A., LLPC, earned her Masters of Clinical Mental Health degree from Oakland University with specializations in infant, child, and adolescent mental health. While she has worked closely with countless children and adolescents over the years, she is equally devoted and qualified to work with adults, couples, and families as well. She has delivered mental health care to clients at the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan and the SEHS Counseling Center located on the campus of Oakland University. In each of these tenures, she has consistently used a client-centered approach paired with empathetic listening in order to facilitate diagnosis, treatment, and most importantly, the development of trusting, productive counselor-patient relationships.

Moriah Schultz is our director of Nursing and a graduate from North Central Michigan College. Working history includes: 8 years long term care—high acuity, 3 years primary care with a holistic focus and 6 years currently specializing in the mental health field. Education continuation allows her the ability to evaluate and provide care for patients with psychiatric disorders, medical mental conditions, to substance abuse problems. Moriah is licensed to provide emergency psychiatric services, assess the psychosocial/physical state of patients, create treatment plans, and continually manage client care. She will serve as your on-site contact for medication concerns, nursing evaluations and intake scheduling and she ,also, is currently enrolled at Ferris State University to obtain a Masters in Nursing with a board certification in mental health.

Kelly joins Great Lakes and will be the friendly face that greets you at check in. Her background working in the medical field offers a great resource to assist with scheduling appointments and insurance questions. She is currently being cross trained to also help with benefit research, prior authorizations for medications and facilitating communiction between your referral source, Priamary Care Physician or hospital discharge planners. Living in northern michigan for most of her adult life she can identify with how far our clients travel and will help schedule with what works for you!

 Sebi Fishta, LPC - PhD Cand. - Great Lakes now offers testings for ADHD/ADD known as IVA-2 and other neuropsych testings! Sebi will be offering these additional screeings for adolescent and adult patients. Appointments are being scheduled now and no referral is required. His full biography will be coming soon!
