Great Lakes Training, Teaching and Consulting provides evidence-based practice support and resources to mental health providers, including medication management and psychotherapies so that they can best serve their consumers.
Our outpatient mental health practice serves Emmet, Cheboygan, Charlevoix, Antrim, and Grand Traverse Counties. Along with a majority of the Upper Pennisula, and some parts of Canada. We offer access in our rural communities to board certified psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, Licensed Master Social Workers, Counselors and support staff. Medication management is provided partially via tele-medicine, which the patient views the health care professional on our 64-inch life size monitor. Our accomodations offer seating for individual up to group sessions with the doctor. The registered nurse serves as your on site video liason. Our Nurse Practitioners see patients part time on site as well as via tele-med. Great Lakes also offers neuropsych testings and ADHD testings.
We bring integrated health care to the Northern Michigan area. We work close with primary care or other health care providers and other therapists to ensure clients receive complete treatment and support necessary for optimal health.
We would like to announce Ahmad Zubairi, M.D. is accepting adolescent and adult patients starting January 2018! Dr. Zubairi graduated with honors in 1991 and has 20+ years experience working within hospital networks and is now focusing on outpatient services. He will provide the area with most needed child psychiatry and also has vast experience working with adult clients as well. Ikenna Obasi, MD is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and Addictionologist. He is accepting adult patients 18 and older for tele-medication management. Anthond DiLoreto, PMHNP-BC offers medication management to adolescent and adult clients. He is also finalizing his graduation for his Doctorate from University of Michigan. Geraldine Dorris, PMHNP-BC has also joined the Great Lakes team and provides services on Mondays and Tuesdays specializing in adult medication management. Our newest addition Jennifer Towns, LMSW provides therapy services for individuals and is now forming womens group for fall 2017. Christine Omilion-Sugg llpc, enjoys utilizing play and art therapy in her sessions and is accepting new patients Monday through Thursday. Great Lakes TTC also has evening appointments on Mondays to off set school and work schedules. Sebi Fistha, LPC is offering ADHD testing along with other neuropsych testings, he is currently a PhD candidate defending his dicertation and will be fully credentialed within the year. We bill for Blue Cross Blue Shield, BCN, Priority Health, McLaren-Commercial, Medicare, and Tricare. We do provide billing services for other insurance companies.

Jennifer Towns, LMSW, Christine Omilion-Sugg, LLPC and Derek Johnson, LMSW continue to see patients for supportive psychotherapy - Mondays through Fridays. Evening and weekend sessions on case-by-case basis. We provide psychiatrists on staff to work with our LMSW to provide medication management in adjunction to psychotherapy. Great Lakes TTC does provide services for clients age 5 and older.
